Upgraded funds transfer service via Emporiki e.Banking

Emporiki Bank, following a strategy for the continuous enhancement of its services, has recently upgraded its service for money transfers through e.Banking, offering customers the possibility to transfer funds:

  • outside Greece, within the SEPA zone (European Union countries, as well as, Iceland, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Monaco) at a cost of only € 0.50 per transaction
  • within Greece, being able to choose the commission-charge allocation scheme they wish and be clearly informed about the cost of the transfer before they complete their transaction.

The cost of money transfers within Greece, is described in the following table:

Information about the beneficiary’s bank charges is provided on-line, on the transfer data input screen.

New alerting service by Emporiki Bank

Through its recently launched service, EmporikiAlerts, Emporiki Bank offers its customers the possibility to be informed about their deposit accounts/credit cards transactions through sms or e-mail messages.

The service has been designed to be quite flexible so that every user can adapt it to his/her own needs. Moreover, customers can easily register to the service and manage their alerts through Emporiki e.Banking.

The EmporikiAlerts service, which is currently available to individuals (in Greek), is offered for unlimited number of alerts:

  • Free of charge for e-mail messages.
  • With a fixed monthly fee of 1,9 EURO for sms messages.

On-line Loan Information now available to all Emporiki e.Banking customers

As of today, Emporiki Bank customers can access their Personal, Home, or Business Loans online, in euro or other currency, via the Emporiki e.Banking service. The new capability is automatically available to all Emporiki e.Banking customers, individuals and corporations, and is offered free of charge.

Current Emporiki e.Banking users can obtain detailed information on their loans, by adding the loans they wish to access to, via the MAINTENANCE menu, selecting the option “Add/Remove Accounts”. New e.Banking users will be able to view their loan information, along with their current or saving accounts, simply by filling in the Direct Banking Services application form, the products they wish to have access to.

The service will soon evolve with the second phase to enable customers not only view but also manage their loans, making for example online loan payments.

National Cadastre Payment via e.Banking now available

All Emporiki e.Banking customers are now able to pay their cadastral fees through the Emporiki e.Banking service, by debiting the current account of their choice, 24 hours 7 days a week.

The payment can be executed through the MANAGE MONEY menu > Bill Payments, selecting either the CADESTRE S.A. (Payment) or the CADESTRE S.A. (Pre-Payment), depending on the type of payment the customer wishes to proceed with.

For the “Payment” option, the customer will need to insert a 20 digit code, which can be found on the 401 form, as completed by the relevant Cadastral Office, following the submission of the necessary supporting documentation.

For the “Pre-Payment” option, the customer will need to insert a 14 digit code, according to the instructions he has received from National Cadastre S.A.. The “Pre-Payment” option is relevant to those customers that either know the amount they have to pay or wish to make a pre-payment to the relevant office. They will then have to visit the Cadastral Office to submit the necessary documentation.

The Ad-hoc National Cadastre payment is immediately available to all Emporiki e.Banking customers at no extra charge. Customers can also print out a payment slips as proof of their online transaction.

“Emporiki Phone Banking”

Emporiki Phone Banking now speaks English!

As off Thursday, 24th April 2008, English speaking customers will be able to use the English version of the Emporiki Phone Banking service. The new version provides the same exact services and capabilities to those available in the Greek version, easily accessible by all customers via the Interactive Voice Response system.

The implementation of the English menu follows the strategy of the Bank to offer innovative services that satisfy the needs of an ever-growing customer base. This new communication capability allows English speaking customers to get specialized information on their bank products (current accounts, credit cards or open loans) and stock portfolio, as well as, to speak with a customer support agent to declare the loss or theft of any of their cards, or find out more on the bank’s products and services.

Emporiki Phone Banking service is automatically available to all Emporiki e.Banking customers free of charge.

New payment of bills through Emporiki e.Banking service

Emporiki Bank in the framework of the constant upgrading of its services offered to clients, provides the possibility of bill payment of the below-mentioned companies, through the Emporiki e.Banking service:

  • SFS Hellas Finance Consumer S.A.
  • Michelin Tyre Company Ltd
  • IATA Greece (IATA BSP and IATA CASS)
  • Tellas S.A.
  • Interasco AEGA
  • BMW Austria Bank GMBH
  • E.Τ.Α.Ο. (Professional Security Fund of Economists)BMW Austria Bank GMBH

As of 09/08/2007, the customers of the aforementioned companies may settle their bills, 24/7 by giving a payment order through the Emporiki e.Banking service and debiting the deposit account of their choice.

The payment procedure is carried out by simply choosing from the main menu the MANAGEMENT Bill payment > ‘COMPANY NAME ’ and filling in the necessary data, as these appear in the bill sheet the customer receives from the company. An exception to that is the payment of E.T.A.O. premium as appears in the menu MANAGEMENT > State and pension fund payments> E.Τ.Α.Ο.

The customer is asked to fill in the payment details (debit account, payment code and amount) in the corresponding e.Banking screen. Additional help to fill in the PAYMENT CODE is provided with the symbol ?.

We remind you that you have the possibility of receiving an electronic proof of payment, as is the case with all other money transactions through the Emporiki e.Banking service, and we signal that the possibility of electronic payment of company bills is immediately available to all customers of the Emporiki e.Banking service at no extra charge.

Instructions in case of loss or theft of an ID or passport

Due to the increase of criminal acts concerning the issue of loans and cards with the use of forged certificates, the Hellenic Bank Association, and in particular the Committee for the prevention and fight of deceit in instruments and systems of payment, in cooperation with the Hellenic Police and TIRESIAS S.A. have prepared informative material to inform citizens about actions that should be taken in case of loss or theft of their IDs or passports.

Just a click away from paying your social security contributions and VAT!

Now Emporiki Bank customers can pay their social security contributions and VAT online!

All social security contributions to I.K.A. and the new Social Security Body O.A.E.E. may be paid via the Emporiki e.Banking service. Equally, those of you that submit your regular VAT statement through the TaxisNet, system, may pay their dues electronically, using the Emporiki e.Banking service.

The above services are immediately available to all Emporiki e.Banking customers and are free of charge.

Protect yourselves from electronic traps

Emporiki Bank would like to inform you that across the financial services industry internationally, there have been a number of occurrences where customers have been targeted by fraudsters asking them to divulge their banking access details.

Specifically, customers have received fraudulent e-mails alleging to be from Bank representatives asking them to reveal their Internet Banking Ids and passwords or even to login to bogus websites, set up only to 'steal' user's personal information.

Emporiki e.Banking services now available in English too!

Emporiki Bank customers can now take advantage of the services offered by Emporiki e.Banking in the English language too.

This way our e.Banking services are now available to all our English speaking customers. From anywhere in the world, English speaking customers can connect to the bank at any time. of day or night. and do their transactions safely and easily, while they also have the possibility to print an electronic payment receipt in English too.

Payment of bills through our ΑΤΜ network

Having concluded an agreement with the Public Power Corporation (DEH), Emporiki Bank, announces that all its customers that keep a savings or checking account at the Bank as well as all Emporiki Bank credit card holders can now pay their electricity bills (DEH bills) through the Bank’s ATM’s anywhere in Greece.

Electricity bills can now be paid 24 hours a day, by using the “Electronic Payment Code” that is written on all DEH bills. The Bank charges 0,40 € for each payment, and that amount is credited at the customer’s account together with the amount of the bill paid.

Through our enhanced 700 ΑΤΜ network, which also “speak” English, you can also pay your ΟΤΕ, Vodafone and Forthnet bills, as well as credit card bills and open loan installments and also transfer funds between accounts.
