Ιntroduction
Work contributes to the employees health and to the economic
and social progress. At the same time, the working environment may cause or
aggravate illnesses of the personnel as well as of the customers and
collaborators. According to the European Agency for Health and Safety at Work
and the World Health Organization, problems related to the working environment,
in the sector of services, may be: myosceletic diseases, ergonomic problems,
working stress, mental health problems,exposure to asbestos, exposure to noise
or radioactivity etc Emporiki Bank complies with the current legal framework and
in an effort to improve its performance, implements the present "Policy on
Health and Safety at Work". In a nutshell, "Policy on Health and Safety
at Work" is governed by the Bank's human-centered approach, adopts a preventive
approach, links productivity and quality of offered services with Health and
Safety, and recognizes the collective responsibility for the effectiveness of
its implementation. This policy aims to ensure on a permanent basis Health
and Safety in the Bank's premises. The Bank is committed to implement ten
specific actions, related to the determination, evaluation and deterrence of
potential risks and the enhancement of transparency.

Actions
The initiative of the Policy on Health and Safety includes

Identification of potential risks on Health and Safety
in all work premises.

Evaluation of potential risks and their classification
in accordance with their level of risk.

Formation of a procedure on reporting and
investigating of events and accidents.

Adoption of Preventive Measures.

Development of a corporate manual on Health and Safety
at Emporiki Bank.

Awareness, raising, updating and training of the
employees on practices ensuring Health and Safety in the working environment.
Special care to inform young employees.

Control of the implementation of the procedures on
reporting of events and accidents. Control of the implementation of practices
aiming at the prevention of potential risks.

Evaluation of our performances and disclosure of
information and data on the Corporate Social Responsibility report.

Introducing a management system on Health and Safety at
work.

Allocate the appropriate resources for the
implementation of the present policy.
Organization and Updating
The organizational responsibility for monitoring and
implementing the Policy on Health and Safety is assigned to Compensation &
Benefits Division. We are committed to update the policy on Health and Safety
when it is deemed necessary.
