With the support of Emporiki Bank the first Museum - Archive of ERT commenced its operation

Emporiki Bank is strongly committed to support and promote the Greek cultural heritage.

With the support of Emporiki Bank, the first permanent exhibition hall of ERT (Public Broadcasting Corporation) Museum - Archive was inaugurated yesterday, presenting to the public a range of rare and historical machinery and items, coming from ERT historical archive, as a significant part of the public radio and television history.

As it was highlighted in the event yesterday, Emporiki Bank, strongly committed to its substantial contribution to the prominence of the Greek cultural heritage, had the pleasure to support this initiative of ERT, aiming at the maintenance and promotion of its unique archive material which constitutes a legacy for future generations.

"The unique archive material of the Greek Radio and Television traces the history of our country from the beginning of the 20th century up to now and constitutes a "cultural treasury" in which the most important political, economical, social and cultural events are maintained, as having been recorded by ERT’s cameras and microphones". Mr. Pavlos Dermenakis, Corporate Affairs and BoD Secretariat Division Manager stressed in his address during yesterday’s inauguration..
